A poco meno di una settimana da G1 Supercard, l’attesa inizia a salire, il 6 aprile in un Madison Square Garden tutto esaurito andrà in scena l’evento organizzato da ROH e NJPW con match che alla carta si preannunciano spettacolari.
In una recente dichiarazione rilasciata da Dave Meltzer nel Wrestling Observer Newsletter, i piani originali sarebbero stati diversi. Secondo il giornalista i main eventer sarebbero stati a tutti gli effetti Kenny Omega nell’affrontare Okada e gli Young Bucks lottare per i titoli di coppia.
