Carissimi lettori di Zona Wrestling, bentornati con un nuovo numero della Top 10 dei match del mese.

Durante il mese di Novembre abbiamo la WWE tenere il classico appuntamento con Survivor Series, Impact Wrestling ha tenuto Turning Point, la AEW ha tenuto la seconda edizione di Full Gear e la NJPW sta tenendo contemporaneamente il Best of the Super Juniors e il World Tag League.

10. Best of the Super Junior: Robbie Eagles vs. SHO, NJPW Best of the Super Junior Day 3

La NJPW sta tenendo in questo momenti due tornei e il Best of the Super Junior è decisamente quello più entusiasmante. Il match tra SHO e Robbie Eagles è stato il migliore della terza giornata del torneo ed è stato un bello scontro competitivo. I due hanno mostrato un grande atletismo ed un ottimo ritmo regalandoci diversi momenti divertenti. Indipendentemente dalla vittoria o dalla sconfitta, entrambi hanno fatto la loro bella figura.

9. Best of the Super Junior: El Desperado vs. Hiromu Takahashi, NJPW Best of the Super Junior Day 2

Come da previsioni i due sono protagonisti di un altro ottimo main event. El Desperado ha fatto un ottimo lavoro da heel e in questo match è stato molto intelligente. La storia è raccontata molto bene con Desperado che lavorava sulla gamba di Hiromu Takahashi e quest’ultimo che cercava di ribaltare la situazione. Desperado è molto sottovalutato e merita un’occasione per il titolo. Molto bello il finale con Desperado che ha distrutto la gamba di Hiromu con una sedia.

8. Best of the Super Junior: Hiromu Takahashi vs. Taiji Ishimori, NJPW World Tag League & Best of the Super Junior Day 1

Ammetto di essere Ishii-dipendente durante il Climax e Hiromu-dipendente durante il torneo dedicato alla categoria Junior. La prima serata dedicata al Best of the Super Junior e al World Tag League ci ha regalato un ottimo main event. Leggermente inferiore al precedente scontro di Summer Struggle, ma è stato un match con un tocco di psicologia e una buona narrazione. I due si conoscono così bene che sono in grado di contrastare qualsiasi manovra.

7. Final of AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament: Kenny Omega vs. Hangman Adam Page, AEW Full Gear

Un ottimo match posizionato perfettamente come opener del pay-per-view. Entrambi hanno chiaramente lottato col freno a mano, forse per un feud titolato a lungo termine che potrebbe esserci l’anno prossimo. Tuttavia il match non è stato lungo ed è stato divertente; inoltre ogni spot aveva un suo significato. Ha vinto la persona giusto e ora avremo Hangman Page impegnato per i prossimi mesi con la sua redenzione.

6. TNT Title: Cody Rhodes vs. Darby Allin, AEW Full Gear

Il quarto scontro tra Cody RHODES e Darby Allin è stato il migliore della loro rivalità. Ho adorato questo match che è stato ben fatto dai due. Darby è stato pericoloso minimamente, ovvero solo quando aveva senso, e Cody è stato ottimo nell’interpretare la parte del campione arrogante. Inoltre Darby ha fatto un ottimo lavoro nel mettere in mostra i danni subiti e le sue emozioni per avere il pubblico dalla sua parte e portare ad un livello altissimo la parte finale del match.

5. Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre, WWE Survivor Series

Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles, Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan e ora Drew McIntyre vs. Roman Reigns. Il match di Survivor Series tra Universal Champion e WWE Champion riesce sempre a rubare la scena. Un match che non può essere minimamente confrontato con quello che avevamo visto a Wrestlemania 35 perché in quel caso avevamo Reigns che era appena tornato da un mese dopo la più grande vittoria della sua vita. E’ stato un match molto tosto con una buona narrazione e degli ottimi ribaltamenti di fronte. Venticinque minuti che non sono mai sembrati lunghi.

4. NEVER Openweight Title: Minoru Suzuki vs. Shingo Takagi, NJPW Power Struggle

Minoru Suzuki e Shingo Takagi hanno di nuovo lottato strenuamente nella prima parte della card per un titolo riservato ai midcarder e sono stati protagonisti di una delle migliori rivalità di questo 2020. Entrambi sono dei wrestler con un sacco di talento e sono degli esperti nella costruzione di un match; inoltre hanno un’alchimia pazzesca.

3. NXT Women’s Title: Io Shirai vs. Rhea Ripley, WWE NXT 18 Novembre

Un match incredibile e la miglior difesa titolata da parte di Io Shirai. Entrambe sono estremamente talentuose e il match ha avuto degli ottimi spot e una sequenza finale incredibile. Miglior match femminile dell’anno dopo l’Hell in a Cell tra Bayley e Sasha Banks. Aveva tutto ciò di cui aveva bisogno per essere un gran match.

2. Best of the Super Junior: Hiromu Takahashi vs. Robbie Eagles, NJPW Best of the Super Junior Day 6

Attualmente questo è il miglior match del Best of the Super Junior e il protagonista è stato Robbie Eagles che ha fornito una prestazione da star assoluta. Il match è durato 26 minuti e ha avuto un ritmo perfetto, con un inizio molto divertente e un finale che ha visto Eagles vicino a una vittoria clamorosa. Ottimo anche il lavoro di Hiromu Takahashi nel vendere l’infortunio alla gamba, rendendogli difficile eseguire alcune manovre. E’ stato un match che ha mostrato il meglio del wrestler australiano.

1. AEW Tag Team Title: FTR vs. Young Bucks, AEW Full Gear

Il miglior match del mese di novembre è stato il miglior match nella AEW da parte degli FTR, decisamente superiore allo scontro di All Out contro Kenny Omega e Hangman Page. Nonostante la costruzione discutibile, è stato un dream match ed è valsa la pena aspettare tutti questi anni. Ciò che distingue questo match sono tutti i tributi fatti dai due tag team agli altri più grandi tag team della storia. Non è il miglior match di coppia dell’anno perché lo trovo inferiore al match di Revolution tra gli Young Bucks e il team composto da Kenny Omega e Hangman Page, ma rimane sempre un match che vale la pena guardare.
